Depth of Feeling, Pressure

How hard the pen presses into the page suggests the depth and intensity of feeling.

What you will learn
  • Heavy pressure, deep and lasting feelings
  • Medium pressure, balanced energy
  • Light pressure, gentle and adaptable

Turn the paper over. Ridges you can feel with a finger mean heavy pressure. Almost no texture means light pressure.

Heavy writers tend to feel things deeply and remember them for a long time. Medium writers usually have steady energy. Light writers move through experiences more easily and rarely carry them around.

Pressure changes with mood, so check more than one sample before drawing conclusions.
