What is Handwriting Analysis?

A plain-English introduction to reading personality signals from the way a person writes.

What you will learn
  • Definition in one sentence
  • What it looks at (slant, pressure, size, spacing, letter forms)
  • What it does not claim to do

Handwriting analysis is the study of the small choices a person makes while writing, such as how much they slant, how hard they press, and how they shape common letters. Each of these choices is a small clue about how the writer thinks, feels and interacts with the world.

It is not a mind-reading trick and it is not fortune telling. It is closer to reading body language on paper. When several clues point in the same direction, we start to get a reasonable picture of a person's habits, energy and outlook.

In this hub we keep the language simple, the examples visual, and every observation grounded in something you can actually see in the sample.
